    Stanza 10.122.1

    वसुं॒ न चि॒त्रम॑हसं गृणीषे वा॒मं शेव॒मति॑थिमद्विषे॒ण्यम् | स रा॑सते शु॒रुधो॑ वि॒श्वधा॑यसो॒ऽग्निर्होता॑ गृ॒हप॑तिः सु॒वीर्य॑म् ||

    vásuṁ ná citrámahasaṁ gr̥ṇīṣe vāmáṁ śévam átithim adviṣeṇyám sá rāsate śurúdho viśvádhāyaso 'gnír hótā gr̥hápatiḥ suvī́ryam

    I praise you, Agni, like Indra, rich in wondrous power, a delightful and welcome guest. May Agni, the priest and master of the house, grant us abundant riches and heroic strength.

    Stanza 10.122.2

    जु॒षा॒णो अ॑ग्ने॒ प्रति॑ हर्य मे॒ वचो॒ विश्वा॑नि वि॒द्वान्व॒युना॑नि सुक्रतो | घृत॑निर्णि॒ग्ब्रह्म॑णे गा॒तुमेर॑य॒ तव॑ दे॒वा अ॑जनय॒न्ननु॑ व्र॒तम् ||

    juṣāṇó agne práti harya me váco víśvāni vidvā́n vayúnāni sukrato ghŕ̥tanirṇig bráhmaṇe gātúm éraya táva devā́ ajanayann ánu vratám

    Agni, who is wise and knows all regulations, graciously accept my words. O excellent one, adorned with ghee, lead the way for prayer; the gods have established your order and actions.

    Stanza 10.122.3

    स॒प्त धामा॑नि परि॒यन्नम॑र्त्यो॒ दाश॑द्दा॒शुषे॑ सु॒कृते॑ मामहस्व | सु॒वीरे॑ण र॒यिणा॑ग्ने स्वा॒भुवा॒ यस्त॒ आन॑ट् स॒मिधा॒ तं जु॑षस्व ||

    saptá dhā́māni pariyánn ámartyo dā́śad dāśúṣe sukŕ̥te māmahasva suvī́reṇa rayíṇāgne svābhúvā yás ta ā́naṭ samídhā táṁ juṣasva

    O immortal Agni, moving through the seven realms, as a generous giver, be pleased with the pious worshipper. O Agni, with wealth and heroic sons, favor him who comes to you with sacrificial fuel.

    Stanza 10.122.4

    य॒ज्ञस्य॑ के॒तुं प्र॑थ॒मं पु॒रोहि॑तं ह॒विष्म॑न्त ईळते स॒प्त वा॒जिन॑म् | शृ॒ण्वन्त॑म॒ग्निं घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठमु॒क्षणं॑ पृ॒णन्तं॑ दे॒वं पृ॑ण॒ते सु॒वीर्य॑म् ||

    yajñásya ketúm prathamám puróhitaṁ havíṣmanta īḷate saptá vājínam śr̥ṇvántam agníṁ ghr̥tápr̥ṣṭham ukṣáṇam pr̥ṇántaṁ devám pr̥ṇaté suvī́ryam

    The seven offering bearers worship you, Agni, the first, the chief priest of sacrifice, the powerful, the bull anointed with ghee. O divine Agni, who hears, you grant heroic strength to the giver.

    Stanza 10.122.5

    त्वं दू॒तः प्र॑थ॒मो वरे॑ण्यः॒ स हू॒यमा॑नो अ॒मृता॑य मत्स्व | त्वां म॑र्जयन्म॒रुतो॑ दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हे त्वां स्तोमे॑भि॒र्भृग॑वो॒ वि रु॑रुचुः ||

    tváṁ dūtáḥ prathamó váreṇyaḥ sá hūyámāno amŕ̥tāya matsva tvā́m marjayan marúto dāśúṣo gr̥hé tvā́ṁ stómebhir bhŕ̥gavo ví rurucuḥ

    You are the first messenger, worthy of being chosen. O Agni, when invited for immortality, be delighted. The Maruts adorned you in the worshipper's house; the Bhrigus revealed you with hymns.

    Stanza 10.122.6

    इषं॑ दु॒हन्त्सु॒दुघां॑ वि॒श्वधा॑यसं यज्ञ॒प्रिये॒ यज॑मानाय सुक्रतो | अग्ने॑ घृ॒तस्नु॒स्त्रिर्ऋ॒तानि॒ दीद्य॑द्व॒र्तिर्य॒ज्ञं प॑रि॒यन्त्सु॑क्रतूयसे ||

    íṣaṁ duhán sudúghāṁ viśvádhāyasaṁ yajñapríye yájamānāya sukrato ágne ghr̥tásnus trír r̥tā́ni dī́dyad vartír yajñám pariyán sukratūyase

    You yield abundance like a well-milking cow, O Agni, for the worshipper who loves sacrifice. O wise Agni, shining brightly, you perform the rituals for the sacrificer.

    Stanza 10.122.7

    त्वामिद॒स्या उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑ष्टिषु दू॒तं कृ॑ण्वा॒ना अ॑यजन्त॒ मानु॑षाः | त्वां दे॒वा म॑ह॒याय्या॑य वावृधु॒राज्य॑मग्ने निमृ॒जन्तो॑ अध्व॒रे ||

    tvā́m íd asyā́ uṣáso vyùṣṭiṣu dūtáṁ kr̥ṇvānā́ ayajanta mā́nuṣāḥ tvā́ṁ devā́ mahayā́yyāya vāvr̥dhur ā́jyam agne nimr̥jánto adhvaré

    At the first light of dawn, humans made you their messenger and worshipped you. The gods increased your glory, O Agni, offering you ghee in the sacrifice.

    Stanza 10.122.8

    नि त्वा॒ वसि॑ष्ठा अह्वन्त वा॒जिनं॑ गृ॒णन्तो॑ अग्ने वि॒दथे॑षु वे॒धसः॑ | रा॒यस्पोषं॒ यज॑मानेषु धारय यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ||

    ní tvā vásiṣṭhā ahvanta vājínaṁ gr̥ṇánto agne vidátheṣu vedhásaḥ rāyás póṣaṁ yájamāneṣu dhāraya yūyám pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ

    O Agni, the Vasishthas, wise ones, have called you, the powerful one, to the assemblies. Maintain wealth and prosperity for the sacrificers. O you gods, protect us always with blessings.
