tvám mahā́m̐ indra yó ha śúṣmair dyā́vā jajñānáḥ pr̥thivī́ áme dhāḥ yád dha te víśvā giráyaś cid ábhvā bhiyā́ dr̥ḷhā́saḥ kiráṇā naíjan
Wow, Indra, you are truly mighty! When you were born, you shook the heavens and the earth with your power. All the strong mountains and terrifying creatures were so scared of you, they trembled like dust!

Indra, when you arrive with your fast horses, your devotee places your thunderbolt in your arms. With it, O you who are called by many, you conquer enemies and destroy their many forts!
