Stanza 1.59.1

व॒या इद॑ग्ने अ॒ग्नय॑स्ते अ॒न्ये त्वे विश्वे॑ अ॒मृता॑ मादयन्ते | वैश्वा॑नर॒ नाभि॑रसि क्षिती॒नां स्थूणे॑व॒ जनाँ॑ उप॒मिद्य॑यन्थ ||

vayā́ íd agne agnáyas te anyé tvé víśve amŕ̥tā mādayante vaíśvānara nā́bhir asi kṣitīnā́ṁ sthū́ṇeva jánām̐ upamíd yayantha

Hey Agni! Other fires are like your branches, but all the immortals rejoice in you. You are the heart of humanity, like a strong pillar holding people up.

Stanza 1.59.2

मू॒र्धा दि॒वो नाभि॑र॒ग्निः पृ॑थि॒व्या अथा॑भवदर॒ती रोद॑स्योः | तं त्वा॑ दे॒वासो॑ऽजनयन्त दे॒वं वैश्वा॑नर॒ ज्योति॒रिदार्या॑य ||

mūrdhā́ divó nā́bhir agníḥ pr̥thivyā́ áthābhavad aratī́ ródasyoḥ táṁ tvā devā́so 'janayanta deváṁ vaíśvānara jyótir íd ā́ryāya

Agni is like the crown of the sky and the heart of the earth, acting as a link between the two realms. The gods created you, O Vaishanara, as a divine light for us humans.

Stanza 1.59.3

आ सूर्ये॒ न र॒श्मयो॑ ध्रु॒वासो॑ वैश्वान॒रे द॑धिरे॒ऽग्ना वसू॑नि | या पर्व॑ते॒ष्वोष॑धीष्व॒प्सु या मानु॑षे॒ष्वसि॒ तस्य॒ राजा॑ ||

ā́ sū́rye ná raśmáyo dhruvā́so vaiśvānaré dadhire 'gnā́ vásūni yā́ párvateṣv óṣadhīṣv apsú yā́ mā́nuṣeṣv ási tásya rā́jā

Just like the sun's rays are fixed, all treasures are firmly placed in you, O Agni Vaishanara. Whether it's in the mountains, plants, water, or among people, you are the king of all these riches.

Stanza 1.59.4

बृ॒ह॒ती इ॑व सू॒नवे॒ रोद॑सी॒ गिरो॒ होता॑ मनु॒ष्यो॒३॒॑ न दक्षः॑ | स्व॑र्वते स॒त्यशु॑ष्माय पू॒र्वीर्वै॑श्वान॒राय॒ नृत॑माय य॒ह्वीः ||

br̥hatī́ iva sūnáve ródasī gíro hótā manuṣyò ná dákṣaḥ svàrvate satyáśuṣmāya pūrvī́r vaiśvānarā́ya nŕ̥tamāya yahvī́ḥ

Just as the great realms of earth and sky embrace their son, we bring our praises to you, O Agni. You are a skillful priest, truly strong, and the most manly. We offer you many praises, O radiant one.

Stanza 1.59.5

दि॒वश्चि॑त्ते बृह॒तो जा॑तवेदो॒ वैश्वा॑नर॒ प्र रि॑रिचे महि॒त्वम् | राजा॑ कृष्टी॒नाम॑सि॒ मानु॑षीणां यु॒धा दे॒वेभ्यो॒ वरि॑वश्चकर्थ ||

diváś cit te br̥ható jātavedo vaíśvānara prá ririce mahitvám rā́jā kr̥ṣṭīnā́m asi mā́nuṣīṇāṁ yudhā́ devébhyo várivaś cakartha

O Jatavédas Vaishanara, your greatness is even greater than the vast sky! You are the king of human settlements, and you've fought battles to create comfort and space for the gods.

Stanza 1.59.6

प्र नू म॑हि॒त्वं वृ॑ष॒भस्य॑ वोचं॒ यं पू॒रवो॑ वृत्र॒हणं॒ सच॑न्ते | वै॒श्वा॒न॒रो दस्यु॑म॒ग्निर्ज॑घ॒न्वाँ अधू॑नो॒त्काष्ठा॒ अव॒ शम्ब॑रं भेत् ||

prá nū́ mahitváṁ vr̥ṣabhásya vocaṁ yám pūrávo vr̥traháṇaṁ sácante vaiśvānaró dásyum agnír jaghanvā́m̐ ádhūnot kā́ṣṭhā áva śámbaram bhet

Let me now tell the greatness of this hero, whom the Pūrus follow as the slayer of enemies. Agni Vaishanara killed the Dasyu, shook the sky, and broke down Sambara's defenses!

Stanza 1.59.7

वै॒श्वा॒न॒रो म॑हि॒म्ना वि॒श्वकृ॑ष्टिर्भ॒रद्वा॑जेषु यज॒तो वि॒भावा॑ | शा॒त॒व॒ने॒ये श॒तिनी॑भिर॒ग्निः पु॑रुणी॒थे ज॑रते सू॒नृता॑वान् ||

vaiśvānaró mahimnā́ viśvákr̥ṣṭir bharádvājeṣu yajató vibhā́vā śātavaneyé śatínībhir agníḥ puruṇīthé jarate sūnŕ̥tāvān

Agni Vaishanara, radiant and worthy of worship, spreads his greatness over all people. He is honored among the Bharadvājas and praised with hundreds of hymns by Purunitha.
