    Stanza 1.29.1

    यच्चि॒द्धि स॑त्य सोमपा अनाश॒स्ता इ॑व॒ स्मसि॑ | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    yác cid dhí satya somapā anāśastā́ iva smási ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    Oh Indra, drinker of Soma, true and mighty one! Even if we feel lost and without hope, please bring us good fortune. We ask you, the immensely wealthy, to grant us an abundance of bright and valuable things, like cows, horses, and thousands of other riches.

    Stanza 1.29.2

    शिप्रि॑न्वाजानां पते॒ शची॑व॒स्तव॑ दं॒सना॑ | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    śíprin vājānām pate śácīvas táva daṁsánā ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    O Indra, swift hero, lord of great powers! Your might and your actions are truly amazing. We pray to you, O wealthy one, to give us hope and grant us many cows, horses, and riches.

    Stanza 1.29.3

    नि ष्वा॑पया मिथू॒दृशा॑ स॒स्तामबु॑ध्यमाने | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    ní ṣvāpayā mithūdŕ̥śā sastā́m ábudhyamāne ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    O Indra, make those two, who are staring at each other unaware, fall into an eternal sleep! Please, O wealthy Indra, bring us hope and grant us plenty of cows, horses, and riches.

    Stanza 1.29.4

    स॒सन्तु॒ त्या अरा॑तयो॒ बोध॑न्तु शूर रा॒तयः॑ | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    sasántu tyā́ árātayo bódhantu śūra rātáyaḥ ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    O heroic Indra, let those who are not generous become inactive, and let the generous ones awaken! Please, O wealthy Indra, grant us hope and an abundance of cows, horses, and riches.

    Stanza 1.29.5

    समि॑न्द्र गर्द॒भं मृ॑ण नु॒वन्तं॑ पा॒पया॑मु॒या | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    sám indra gardabhám mr̥ṇa nuvántam pāpáyāmuyā́ ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    O Indra, crush this donkey that brays so loudly and annoyingly! Please, O wealthy Indra, give us hope and grant us plenty of cows, horses, and riches.

    Stanza 1.29.6

    पता॑ति कुण्डृ॒णाच्या॑ दू॒रं वातो॒ वना॒दधि॑ | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    pátāti kuṇḍr̥ṇā́cyā dūráṁ vā́to vánād ádhi ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    Like a powerful wind falling from the forest to a distant place, may good things come to us! O Indra, bring us hope and grant us plenty of cows, horses, and riches.

    Stanza 1.29.7

    सर्वं॑ परिक्रो॒शं ज॑हि ज॒म्भया॑ कृकदा॒श्व॑म् | आ तू न॑ इन्द्र शंसय॒ गोष्वश्वे॑षु शु॒भ्रिषु॑ स॒हस्रे॑षु तुवीमघ ||

    sárvam parikrośáṁ jahi jambháyā kr̥kadāśvàm ā́ tū́ na indra śaṁsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhríṣu sahásreṣu tuvīmagha

    O Indra, destroy all those who criticize and speak ill of us, and defeat the ones who harm us secretly! Please, O wealthy Indra, bring us hope and grant us plenty of cows, horses, and riches.
