Stanza 1.26.1

vásiṣvā hí miyedhya vástrāṇy ūrjām pate sémáṁ no adhvaráṁ yaja

O radiant one, Lord of energies, please clothe yourself and accept this sacrifice of ours!

Stanza 1.26.2

ní no hótā váreṇyaḥ sádā yaviṣṭha mánmabhiḥ ágne divítmatā vácaḥ

O Agni, most youthful one, as our chosen priest, sit here with us, accepting our hymns and heavenly words.

Stanza 1.26.3

ā́ hí ṣmā sūnáve pitā́pír yájaty āpáye sákhā sákhye váreṇyaḥ

For, a father brings benefits to his son, a relative to his relative, and a chosen friend to his friend; the god also acts similarly.

Stanza 1.26.4

ā́ no barhī́ riśā́daso váruṇo mitró aryamā́ sī́dantu mánuṣo yathā

O Varuna, Mitra, and Aryaman, who destroy foes, may you sit here upon our sacred grass, just as Manu did before.

Stanza 1.26.5

pū́rvya hotar asyá no mándasva sakhyásya ca imā́ u ṣú śrudhī gíraḥ

O ancient Herald, be happy with our fellowship and hear these praises we offer you.

Stanza 1.26.6

yác cid dhí śáśvatā tánā deváṁ-devaṁ yájāmahe tvé íd dhūyate havíḥ

Because whatever we constantly offer to any god, the offering is truly made to you, O Agni.

Stanza 1.26.7

priyó no astu viśpátir hótā mandró váreṇyaḥ priyā́ḥ svagnáyo vayám

May Agni be our dear master and a delightful priest. May we, with our bright fires, be dear to him too.

Stanza 1.26.8

svagnáyo hí vā́ryaṁ devā́so dadhiré ca naḥ svagnáyo manāmahe

Indeed, the gods, when well-served, have granted us valuable blessings. We believe we also have these good fires.

Stanza 1.26.9

áthā na ubháyeṣām ámr̥ta mártyānām mitháḥ santu práśastayaḥ

O Immortal one, may praises be exchanged between us mortals and the immortals.

Stanza 1.26.10

víśvebhir agne agníbhir imáṁ yajñám idáṁ vácaḥ cáno dhāḥ sahaso yaho

O Agni, son of strength, with all your powers, enjoy this sacrifice and these words of ours.
