Stanza 1.147.1
क॒था ते॑ अग्ने शु॒चय॑न्त आ॒योर्द॑दा॒शुर्वाजे॑भिराशुषा॒णाः | उ॒भे यत्तो॒के तन॑ये॒ दधा॑ना ऋ॒तस्य॒ साम॑न्र॒णय॑न्त दे॒वाः ||
kathā́ te agne śucáyanta āyór dadāśúr vā́jebhir āśuṣāṇā́ḥ ubhé yát toké tánaye dádhānā r̥tásya sā́man raṇáyanta devā́ḥ
Hey Agni, how have the bright ones, full of life and eager, honored you with their offerings and energy? It seems they've placed you at the heart of both their present and future, so the gods can rejoice in the harmony of divine order.
This verse asks Agni how the divine beings, full of radiant energy and eagerness, have honored him with their offerings and spiritual power. It implies that by doing so, the gods are able to nurture both current and future generations, finding joy in the well-ordered cosmic system.

ये पा॒यवो॑ मामते॒यं ते॑ अग्ने॒ पश्य॑न्तो अ॒न्धं दु॑रि॒तादर॑क्षन् | र॒रक्ष॒ तान्त्सु॒कृतो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दा॒ दिप्स॑न्त॒ इद्रि॒पवो॒ नाह॑ देभुः ||
yé pāyávo māmateyáṁ te agne páśyanto andháṁ duritā́d árakṣan rarákṣa tā́n sukŕ̥to viśvávedā dípsanta íd ripávo nā́ha debhuḥ
Agni, your watchful protectors saw Mâmateya, who was blind and struggling, and saved him from trouble. You, Agni, who know all and have all riches, protected those good people. And those tricky enemies who tried to trick them? They didn't succeed.
This verse speaks of Agni's protective guardians, who, upon seeing a man named Mâmateya who was blind and in distress, rescued him. Agni, who possesses all wealth and knowledge, is credited with saving those who do good deeds. Agni, please protect us from that person who's stingy, harmful, and talks falsely, hurting us with their lies. May their damaging words and intentions boomerang back on them. Let them harm themselves with their own evil talk.
This verse addresses Agni, asking him to protect the speaker from a person who is stingy, harmful, and deceitful, hurting others with their false words. The speaker wishes that the harmful influence or 'spell' of such a person should rebound upon them, causing them to harm themselves with their own wicked speech.

And you, O powerful Agni, if someone knowingly hurts another person with lies, please protect us from them. You are praised, Agni! Protect me as I praise you. Don't let us fall into any kind of trouble.
This verse continues the theme of protection, asking Agni, addressed as 'O powerful one', to shield the speaker from someone who knowingly harms others with deceitful words. The speaker praises Agni and requests him to protect the worshipper, asking Agni not to lead them into any misfortune or distress.
