उ॒भे पु॑नामि॒ रोद॑सी ऋ॒तेन॒ द्रुहो॑ दहामि॒ सं म॒हीर॑नि॒न्द्राः | अ॒भि॒व्लग्य॒ यत्र॑ ह॒ता अ॒मित्रा॑ वैलस्था॒नं परि॑ तृ॒ळ्हा अशे॑रन् ||
ubhé punāmi ródasī r̥téna drúho dahāmi sám mahī́r anindrā́ḥ abhivlágya yátra hatā́ amítrā vailasthānám pári tr̥ḷhā́ áśeran
I cleanse both the earth and sky with sacred order. I destroy the great, wicked spirits who aren't devoted to Indra. Where the enemies lay defeated, pierced and broken in the abyss.
This verse describes a powerful ritualistic act. The speaker is purifying both the earth and the sky using a sacred rite (Rta). They are also destroying powerful, malevolent female spirits who don't honor Indra, the king of the gods. These spirits have been defeated and lie dead, pierced and mangled in a pit.

O Maghavan, destroy their strength! Cast them into the narrow pit, into the deep, confined pit!

You have previously destroyed thrice fifty of them with your fierce attacks. They consider that a glorious deed, even though it might seem minor to you.
