Stanza 1.11.1
इन्द्रं॒ विश्वा॑ अवीवृधन्त्समु॒द्रव्य॑चसं॒ गिरः॑ | र॒थीत॑मं र॒थीनां॒ वाजा॑नां॒ सत्प॑तिं॒ पति॑म् ||
índraṁ víśvā avīvr̥dhan samudrávyacasaṁ gíraḥ rathī́tamaṁ rathī́nāṁ vā́jānāṁ sátpatim pátim
All the songs have magnified Indra, whose reach is like the ocean, the greatest among chariot-riders, the lord of strengths, the lord!
This verse is a grand invocation of Indra, the supreme deity. It describes how all the hymns and praises sung by people amplify his power and glory. Indra is depicted as vast as the ocean, a leader among those who travel in chariots, and the ultimate master of strength and power.

Stanza 1.11.2
स॒ख्ये त॑ इन्द्र वा॒जिनो॒ मा भे॑म शवसस्पते | त्वाम॒भि प्र णो॑नुमो॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम् ||
sakhyé ta indra vājíno mā́ bhema śavasas pate tvā́m abhí prá ṇonumo jétāram áparājitam
Indra, in friendship with you, the powerful one, we should not fear. We glorify you, the ultimate winner, the undefeated!
In this verse, the worshippers express their trust and devotion to Indra. They say that in friendship with him, who is powerful and energetic, they feel no fear. They are praising and glorifying him, acknowledging him as the ultimate victor who has never been defeated.

Indra's past gifts and helps do not disappear. When he gives abundant wealth, like cattle, to those who praise him, he gives generously.
This verse highlights Indra's consistent generosity. It states that Indra's past gifts and acts of help are never forgotten and never fail. Whenever he generously bestows his wealth, especially abundant resources like cattle, upon those who praise him, his support is always there.

The fort-destroyer, young and wise, with immeasurable power, was born. Indra, the sustainer of all deeds, the thunderbolt-wielder, and much-praised!
This verse describes Indra's birth and his inherent qualities and roles. He is portrayed as a strong, young, and wise figure who destroys forts ('purā'), has immense energy, and supports all actions and rituals. He is the holder of the thunderbolt (vajra) and is widely praised.

O Hero Indra, by your gifts I have come to the river. O lover of songs, the wise singers stand here, knowing about you and your fame.

They state that the wise poets and singers have stood by him, aware of his greatness and likely came to celebrate him. The phrase 'song-lover' is a direct address to Indra.

Indra, you defeated the cunning Shuṣṇa with your illusions. The wise know this; go beyond their praises (and sing anew).
This verse recounts Indra's victory over the cunning demon Shuṣṇa, whom Indra defeated using his powerful illusions and strength. The wise ones witnessed this great feat. The verse then urges the singers to go beyond merely praising these past glories and to continue singing and proclaiming Indra's current deeds.

Our songs have praised Indra, the ruler by his power. His gifts are in thousands, and indeed, even more!
This final verse celebrates Indra as the supreme ruler, filled with power. It states that hymns and praises are directed towards him because he is the sovereign lord, whose gifts are countless, appearing in thousands and even more. The worshippers acknowledge his immense power and the abundance of his blessings.
