Stanza 1.106.1

इन्द्रं॑ मि॒त्रं वरु॑णम॒ग्निमू॒तये॒ मारु॑तं॒ शर्धो॒ अदि॑तिं हवामहे | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

índram mitráṁ váruṇam agním ūtáye mā́rutaṁ śárdho áditiṁ havāmahe ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

Hey, we call upon Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, the Maruts, and Aditi for help! Just like a chariot helps you out of a tough spot, great Vasus, please rescue us from all our difficulties!

Stanza 1.106.2

त आ॑दित्या॒ आ ग॑ता स॒र्वता॑तये भू॒त दे॑वा वृत्र॒तूर्ये॑षु श॒म्भुवः॑ | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

tá ādityā ā́ gatā sarvátātaye bhūtá devā vr̥tratū́ryeṣu śambhúvaḥ ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

Come, O Adityas, and all you gods, come for our total well-being! Be joyful for us in conquering enemies. Like a chariot out of a tough spot, you generous Vasus, carry us out of all our troubles!

Stanza 1.106.3

अव॑न्तु नः पि॒तरः॑ सुप्रवाच॒ना उ॒त दे॒वी दे॒वपु॑त्रे ऋता॒वृधा॑ | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

ávantu naḥ pitáraḥ supravācanā́ utá devī́ deváputre r̥tāvŕ̥dhā ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

May our glorious Fathers protect us, and also the two Goddesses, mothers of gods, who strengthen the cosmic order. Like a chariot from a rough spot, you generous Vasus, carry us out of all our troubles!

Stanza 1.106.4

नरा॒शंसं॑ वा॒जिनं॑ वा॒जय॑न्नि॒ह क्ष॒यद्वी॑रं पू॒षणं॑ सु॒म्नैरी॑महे | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

nárāśáṁsaṁ vājínaṁ vājáyann ihá kṣayádvīram pūṣáṇaṁ sumnaír īmahe ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

We invite here Nara-shamsa, the powerful, who inspires strength, and Puṣan, the protector of people! With blessings, we seek their favor. Like a chariot out of a tough spot, you generous Vasus, carry us out of all our troubles!

Stanza 1.106.5

बृह॑स्पते॒ सद॒मिन्नः॑ सु॒गं कृ॑धि॒ शं योर्यत्ते॒ मनु॑र्हितं॒ तदी॑महे | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

bŕ̥haspate sádam ín naḥ sugáṁ kr̥dhi śáṁ yór yát te mánurhitaṁ tád īmahe ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

O Bṛhaspati, please make our path easy and smooth always! We ask for the well-being that you have destined for humans. Like a chariot out of a tough spot, you generous Vasus, carry us out of all our troubles!

Stanza 1.106.6

इन्द्रं॒ कुत्सो॑ वृत्र॒हणं॒ शची॒पतिं॑ का॒टे निबा॑ळ्ह॒ ऋषि॑रह्वदू॒तये॑ | रथं॒ न दु॒र्गाद्व॑सवः सुदानवो॒ विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अंह॑सो॒ निष्पि॑पर्तन ||

índraṁ kútso vr̥traháṇaṁ śácīpátiṁ kāṭé níbāḷha ŕ̥ṣir ahvad ūtáye ráthaṁ ná durgā́d vasavaḥ sudānavo víśvasmān no áṁhaso níṣ pipartana

When Kutsa, the sage, was stuck deep in a pit, he called for Indra, the slayer of Vritra and lord of might, to help him. Like a chariot out of a tough spot, you generous Vasus, carry us out of all our troubles!

Stanza 1.106.7

दे॒वैर्नो॑ दे॒व्यदि॑ति॒र्नि पा॑तु दे॒वस्त्रा॒ता त्रा॑यता॒मप्र॑युच्छन् | तन्नो॑ मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो मामहन्ता॒मदि॑तिः॒ सिन्धुः॑ पृथि॒वी उ॒त द्यौः ||

devaír no devy áditir ní pātu devás trātā́ trāyatām áprayuchan tán no mitró váruṇo māmahantām áditiḥ síndhuḥ pr̥thivī́ utá dyaúḥ

May the divine Aditi protect us with the gods! May the god-protector save us without fail. May Mitra, Varuna, Aditi, the River, Earth, and Sky all grant us this!
