Stanza 1.102.1

इ॒मां ते॒ धियं॒ प्र भ॑रे म॒हो म॒हीम॒स्य स्तो॒त्रे धि॒षणा॒ यत्त॑ आन॒जे | तमु॑त्स॒वे च॑ प्रस॒वे च॑ सास॒हिमिन्द्रं॑ दे॒वासः॒ शव॑सामद॒न्ननु॑ ||

imā́ṁ te dhíyam prá bhare mahó mahī́m asyá stotré dhiṣáṇā yát ta ānajé tám utsavé ca prasavé ca sāsahím índraṁ devā́saḥ śávasāmadann ánu

I'm bringing you this great hymn, oh mighty one, a powerful offering for your praise. Your favor has been earned with this song! The gods themselves find joy in Indra, who is victorious with his strength, during celebrations and the Soma rituals.

Stanza 1.102.2

अ॒स्य श्रवो॑ न॒द्यः॑ स॒प्त बि॑भ्रति॒ द्यावा॒क्षामा॑ पृथि॒वी द॑र्श॒तं वपुः॑ | अ॒स्मे सू॑र्याचन्द्र॒मसा॑भि॒चक्षे॑ श्र॒द्धे कमि॑न्द्र चरतो वितर्तु॒रम् ||

asyá śrávo nadyàḥ saptá bibhrati dyā́vākṣā́mā pr̥thivī́ darśatáṁ vápuḥ asmé sūryācandramásābhicákṣe śraddhé kám indra carato vitarturám

His fame is carried by the seven rivers, and the sky and earth display his impressive form. The sun and moon keep moving, giving us a sight to behold, so that we may have faith, Indra.

Stanza 1.102.3

तं स्मा॒ रथं॑ मघव॒न्प्राव॑ सा॒तये॒ जैत्रं॒ यं ते॑ अनु॒मदा॑म संग॒मे | आ॒जा न॑ इन्द्र॒ मन॑सा पुरुष्टुत त्वा॒यद्भ्यो॑ मघव॒ञ्छर्म॑ यच्छ नः ||

táṁ smā rátham maghavan prā́va sātáye jaítraṁ yáṁ te anumádāma saṁgamé ājā́ na indra mánasā puruṣṭuta tvāyádbhyo maghavañ chárma yacha naḥ

Maghavan, help us win that chariot for victory, the one we joyfully use in the thick of battle. Indra, whom we praise with all our hearts, grant us protection, you who are rich in gifts, especially for those who desire you.

Stanza 1.102.4

व॒यं ज॑येम॒ त्वया॑ यु॒जा वृत॑म॒स्माक॒मंश॒मुद॑वा॒ भरे॑भरे | अ॒स्मभ्य॑मिन्द्र॒ वरि॑वः सु॒गं कृ॑धि॒ प्र शत्रू॑णां मघव॒न्वृष्ण्या॑ रुज ||

vayáṁ jayema tváyā yujā́ vŕ̥tam asmā́kam áṁśam úd avā bháre-bhare asmábhyam indra várivaḥ sugáṁ kr̥dhi prá śátrūṇām maghavan vŕ̥ṣṇyā ruja

With you as our ally, Indra, may we win! Let us secure our share of the wealth in every battle. Make our path smooth and comfortable for us, and destroy the might of our enemies, Maghavan.

Stanza 1.102.5

नाना॒ हि त्वा॒ हव॑माना॒ जना॑ इ॒मे धना॑नां धर्त॒रव॑सा विप॒न्यवः॑ | अ॒स्माकं॑ स्मा॒ रथ॒मा ति॑ष्ठ सा॒तये॒ जैत्रं॒ ही॑न्द्र॒ निभृ॑तं॒ मन॒स्तव॑ ||

nā́nā hí tvā hávamānā jánā imé dhánānāṁ dhartar ávasā vipanyávaḥ asmā́kaṁ smā rátham ā́ tiṣṭha sātáye jaítraṁ hīā̀ndra níbhr̥tam mánas táva

People are calling out to you in many ways, Indra, you who hold wealth, singing praises for your help. Come, mount our chariot for victory! Your focused mind, Indra, truly wins the day.

Stanza 1.102.6

गो॒जिता॑ बा॒हू अमि॑तक्रतुः सि॒मः कर्म॑न्कर्मञ्छ॒तमू॑तिः खजंक॒रः | अ॒क॒ल्प इन्द्रः॑ प्रति॒मान॒मोज॒साथा॒ जना॒ वि ह्व॑यन्ते सिषा॒सवः॑ ||

gojítā bāhū́ ámitakratuḥ simáḥ kárman-karmañ chatámūtiḥ khajaṁkaráḥ akalpá índraḥ pratimā́nam ójasā́thā jánā ví hvayante siṣāsávaḥ

His arms win the cattle, his power is unlimited in every deed. With a hundred supports, he excites the battle! Indra is unequaled in strength, and therefore, people eagerly call him.

Stanza 1.102.7

उत्ते॑ श॒तान्म॑घव॒न्नुच्च॒ भूय॑स॒ उत्स॒हस्रा॑द्रिरिचे कृ॒ष्टिषु॒ श्रवः॑ | अ॒मा॒त्रं त्वा॑ धि॒षणा॑ तित्विषे म॒ह्यधा॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नसे पुरंदर ||

út te śatā́n maghavann úc ca bhū́yasa út sahásrād ririce kr̥ṣṭíṣu śrávaḥ amātráṁ tvā dhiṣáṇā titviṣe mahy ádhā vr̥trā́ṇi jighnase puraṁdara

Your glory, Maghavan, exceeds a hundred, yes, even a thousand! Your power is boundless, and the great offering has inspired you. Keep destroying the Vritras and fortresses, Indra, the breaker of forts!

Stanza 1.102.8

त्रि॒वि॒ष्टि॒धातु॑ प्रति॒मान॒मोज॑सस्ति॒स्रो भूमी॑र्नृपते॒ त्रीणि॑ रोच॒ना | अती॒दं विश्वं॒ भुव॑नं ववक्षिथाश॒त्रुरि॑न्द्र ज॒नुषा॑ स॒नाद॑सि ||

triviṣṭidhā́tu pratimā́nam ójasas tisró bhū́mīr nr̥pate trī́ṇi rocanā́ átīdáṁ víśvam bhúvanaṁ vavakṣithāśatrúr indra janúṣā sanā́d asi

Your might has a triple counterpart, king of men! It has surpassed the three earths and the three celestial lights. You have grown beyond this entire world, Indra. You have been without an enemy by nature since the beginning.

Stanza 1.102.9

त्वां दे॒वेषु॑ प्रथ॒मं ह॑वामहे॒ त्वं ब॑भूथ॒ पृत॑नासु सास॒हिः | सेमं नः॑ का॒रुमु॑पम॒न्युमु॒द्भिद॒मिन्द्रः॑ कृणोतु प्रस॒वे रथं॑ पु॒रः ||

tvā́ṁ devéṣu prathamáṁ havāmahe tvám babhūtha pŕ̥tanāsu sāsahíḥ sémáṁ naḥ kārúm upamanyúm udbhídam índraḥ kr̥ṇotu prasavé rátham puráḥ

We call you first among the gods, Indra, because you became a mighty victor in battles. May Indra make this singer of ours inspired, and our chariot ready to advance forward.

Stanza 1.102.10

त्वं जि॑गेथ॒ न धना॑ रुरोधि॒थार्भे॑ष्वा॒जा म॑घवन्म॒हत्सु॑ च | त्वामु॒ग्रमव॑से॒ सं शि॑शीम॒स्यथा॑ न इन्द्र॒ हव॑नेषु चोदय ||

tváṁ jigetha ná dhánā rurodhithā́rbheṣv ājā́ maghavan mahátsu ca tvā́m ugrám ávase sáṁ śiśīmasy áthā na indra hávaneṣu codaya

You have conquered, Indra, and have not kept back the riches, whether in small fights or great ones. We sharpen you, the fierce one, for protection. So inspire us, Indra, in our calls for help!

Stanza 1.102.11

वि॒श्वाहेन्द्रो॑ अधिव॒क्ता नो॑ अ॒स्त्वप॑रिह्वृताः सनुयाम॒ वाज॑म् | तन्नो॑ मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो मामहन्ता॒मदि॑तिः॒ सिन्धुः॑ पृथि॒वी उ॒त द्यौः ||

viśvā́héndro adhivaktā́ no astv áparihvr̥tāḥ sanuyāma vā́jam tán no mitró váruṇo māmahantām áditiḥ síndhuḥ pr̥thivī́ utá dyaúḥ

May Indra always be our protector, and may we win wealth without fail. May Mitra, Varuna, Aditi, the river, Earth, and Heaven all endorse this prayer of ours.
